EDUCATION

Projeto Quixote develops means for disseminating knowledge and lessons learned that have been acquired through practice, reflection and research. The knowledge produced is shared and discussed with other actors within the network of care, through courses, consultations, supervisions and internship placements for educators and technical specialists engaged in the sphere of social work. Quixote promotes the exchange of experiences, fortify of the transforming paper of the educator and collaborates for the formation and joint of attendance net the white population. Through consultations, Projeto Quixote has collaborated to help other teams to establish and administer similar services in other regions of Brazil, which may be adapted to local needs.
The projects are designed according to the demand, taking into account the objectives of the local population and corresponding network.The idea is not to be prescriptive or to reproduce Projeto Quixote in other locales, but rather to permit people to recognize the value in their approach and create new alternatives based on elements that exist within their particular reality.
Approximately 2100 educators and technical specialists from 330 institutions have already taken part in our consultations, which have also served the implantation of services in Itajaí, Rio Branco, Londrina, Santos and Porto Alegre.
