Projeto Quixote is a not-for-profit, public interest civil society organization, affiliated with UNIFESP (Federal University of São Paulo), and which has been in existence since 1996. We seek to build, alongside children and youth in high-risk situations, viable alternatives to the challenges they face from day-to-day, such as violence, abandonment, alienation and substance abuse.
Through the fostering of solid bonds with educators and clinical practitioners, the facilitation of our workshops and the provisioning of assistance, together we create avenues for the possibility of transforming the realities of these children and youth, inclusive of both the family and the community.
Clinical, pedagogical and socially-oriented perspectives are fully integrated in all of our activities. Regular reflection on our practice, research and experience informs new knowledge which is propagated through our courses and consults, and which we are always seeking to contribute to public policy development.
